Who is the only Savior of the world?

Jesus is the only Savior of the world. Everyone in the world has the same bottom-line problem, sin. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Only Jesus came to save all mankind from sin. Jesus said of Himself in John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” And again, in John 12:47, Jesus said, "And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.”

Not only did Jesus say this of Himself, but others also proclaimed it. For example, the Samaritans said this in John 4:42, ”...and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.” The Apostle Paul said, “...that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.” And John proclaimed it in 1 John 4:14, “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.” Therefore, on the authority of God’s Word and the testimony of eyewitnesses, as well as Jesus Himself, the only Savior of the world is Jesus Christ, the Son of God!
