Are you "once saved, always saved"?

Absolutely! If you have been truly saved by The Lord Jesus Christ, there is nothing, nor no one, who is able to cause you to lose your salvation! Here are three specific reasons why:

  1. Salvation is not yours to begin with.
Salvation belongs to the Lord. We as people are offered salvation; it is a gift from God. (See Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9.) David wrote in his repentant psalm, “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation...” (Psalm 51:12). Since God is eternal, His salvation is also eternal. Hence, we cannot lose salvation since it has no end.
  2. God’s salvation of His children is secure.
When you get saved God claims you as His own. John 10:27-30 says, “My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. I and My Father are one.” Since Jesus is God and God is omnipotent (all-powerful), there is no force of man, devil, demon, or angel that could remove you from His grasp. Therefore, salvation in Him is forever secure.
  3. The salvation God gives to us is an undeniable truth that never changes.
You can be saved and be sure of it! 1 John 5:11-13 says, “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things have I written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” This passage clearly tells us that we have a "KNOW-SO" salvation; not a think-so, wish-so, or hope-so salvation. God’s Word clearly tells us that His Son Jesus' sacrifice was sufficient to pay for ALL sin. Otherwise, why did He die? Why hasn’t He died again if it wasn’t sufficient enough the first time? God’s Word is perfect, unchanging, and eternal, and it tells us that we cannot lose our salvation and that we can know we have it!
