Your Body--Temple Of The Holy Spirit

First Corinthians 6:19 says, “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

Every so often, we will have guests in our home and say, “My house is your house, make yourself at home. Here is the key to the front door.”

But suppose you came home one evening and your houseguest was not in the bedroom that you assigned to him? Suppose he was in your bedroom going through your income tax returns, reading old love letters or your private journals?

You would say, “Umm....may I help you? Are you looking for something?” And your guest says, “Those old love letters are a hoot. And you know, I really thought you made more money than that.”

You would probably feel the back of your neck getting hot. You might even say, “Well, that’s really none of your business. What are you doing here?” And they say, “I don’t understand. I thought you said that this house was my house. I thought you told me to make myself at home. That is just what I am doing.” You respond, “I didn’t mean that!”
