  1. INTRODUCTION
    1. Everybody knows pain.
    2. The world is filled with suffering and pain.
    3. If we don’t have answers for suffering, then we can become discouraged and rebellious.
    4. Atheists and agnostics say that pain exists because one of these three things is correct about God:
      1. God has no power over it.
      2. God does not care enough to stop it.
      3. God does not exist.
    5. Romans 8:18
      1. Paul in this passage is doing some “figuring” about the problem of pain.
  1. YESTERDAY’S CURSE BRINGS BONDAGE. (Romans 8:20-22)
    1. All of creation is in bondage.
    2. God did not create a corrupt or sinful world.

      2. God is not the author of evil and pain.
    3. God created man perfectly free.
    4. When Adam sinned, he dragged the entire creation down with him.
