      2. Habakkuk lived in a day of violence and apostasy, and he was perplexed.
      3. Habakkuk sought God, looking for an explanation to the things he saw around him.
      4. God assured Habakkuk that He was at work and that Habakkuk’s responsibility was to live by faith.
    2. Just like Habakkuk, we are not to live by explanations; we are to live by faith.

            1. It was used in the language of Bible times to refer to a title deed.
          2. The word “hope” does not mean “perhaps” or “wish” or “desire.”
            1. It means rock-ribbed assurance based on divine revelation.
        2. Faith is the title deed, the confidence, that what God has said is true and God will perform it.
