  1. INTRODUCTION

    3. How are the dead raised?
      1. Some say it is scientifically impossible, but we’re talking about the Bible, not science. Acts 26:8. Admit God, then you won’t have problems with miracles.
      2. Can get past Genesis 1:1, you won’t have difficulty with the rest.
      3. Spurgeon quote, “everything that God does is wonderful until you get used to it.”
  2. ILLUSTRATED WITH GRAIN –  (1 Cor. 15:36)
    1. Paul uses illustration of seed of grain.
    2. Problem because grain of seed dies. But, the spiritual part of you never dies. John 11:26.
    3. How is that possible?

  3. INDIVIDUALIZED WITH UNIQUENESS – 1 Cor. 15:38
    1. God makes no copies, God only makes originals.
    2. We are all originals…no two snowflakes, fingerprints.

    4. Mount of Transfiguration - disciples had never seen them before, but they knew them.
  4. INFUSED WITH PERFECTION – 1 Cor. 15:42
    1. Sown in corruption, raised in incorruption.
    2. Sown in dishonor, raised in glory. (illus. of caterpillar, diamond, train wreck)
    3. Sown in weakness, raised in power. (v. 43)
    4. Sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body. (v. 44)
    5. No such thing as a spirit body.
  5. IDENTIFIED WITH JESUS – 1 Cor. 15:45
    1. First and Second Adam
    2. We’re not in the image of God; we’re in the image of Adam.
    3. One day we will be like Jesus.

  6. IMMORTALIZED WITH VICTORY – 1 Cor. 15:51
    1. Death is swallowed up in victory.
    2. People who have died will be raised. Others alive will rise.

    5. “That’s why I love Easter, that’s why I love the celebration of our Savior who suffered, bled and died and walked out of that grave and because he lives, I can face tomorrow.”
