Did Jesus live a sinless life?

Any amount of sin in Jesus’ life would have disqualified Him from becoming our Savior. Because He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, Jesus was born sinless instead of as a sinful man. Jesus remained sinless, despite being tempted to sin as we are. Because of Jesus’ sinlessness, He was able to lay down His life and pay the sin debt we owed, thereby offering us salvation through Himself.

Why did Jesus die?

Jesus died so that we who would believe in Him might live. His death paid the penalty for sin that we could not pay, making it possible to be reunited in relationship and fellowship with God the Father. Only a perfect sacrifice could have been sufficient for the sin debt we owed to the Father. Jesus was that perfect sacrifice, and His resurrection made eternal life possible for each of us.
