What is the point of the final judgement?

What is the point of the final judgement? To separate the saved and lost and to judge each person according to his own works. (See Matthew 25:32 and Revelation 20:13.)

There will be no escaping this judgement. “For it is written, ‘As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God’” (Romans 14:11). “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on the earth, and of those under the earth” (Philippians 2:10).

When you stand in judgement, if you do not know Christ—if you have not been redeemed by the one who took your place by dying on the cross for you and paying your sin debt—you will not be able to throw yourself at the mercy of the court. There will be no mercy to call out for at this judgement! (See Hebrews 9:27 and Romans 10:13.)

Jesus is coming! Judgement is coming! Are you spiritually ready for both? No sin is so great that you cannot be saved, and no sin is so small you don’t need to be saved! If you haven’t already, then make the choice. Call out to Jesus and receive salvation today!
