LWF: On Mission Update

Faithfulness Matters

Paul told the Philippian church, “For even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.” Paul was grateful for the faithfulness of the Philippians to support his ministry.

Many ministries, including Love Worth Finding, also depend on faithful partners…partners in prayer, partners in encouragement, and partners in finances. For LWF, one of the blessings has been that our partners tend to be everyday people. We do not have large endowments or investments; LWF depends mostly on regular or “sustained” giving.

Brandi Hayes, the Communications and Direct Response Manager for the ministry, says, “We want to be good stewards of everything that is given to the ministry so we budget very carefully. One of the blessings for our ministry are those we call ‘Sustaining Partners.’ By providing regular monthly gifts, these partners, in effect, help us set our budget with increased confidence, and every dollar counts.”

Being a Sustaining Partner to LWF for more than 13 years now, Brandi recalls, “I have the privilege of being a part of the hands and feet at LWF, but I give from my heart’s desire for others to have the same moment I had when sitting under Pastor Rogers’ teaching and God clearly impacted my life and gave me peace and hope. Giving to LWF allows me to reach outside my borders. And setting up my giving to automatically come out each month helps me remain faithful, and helps Love Worth Finding be a better steward.”

Sustained giving is accomplished in one of two ways:

  1. Give online at lwf.org/donate through your credit card or PayPal, and indicate that you prefer to make your gift a monthly contribution.
  2. Text your gift by sending the message “give2lwf” to 888.364.4483 and choose to “make my gift monthly.”

“There are plenty of other places people can give.” Brandi acknowledges, “We believe the Bible teaches people are to support their local churches first, and then be generous givers to ministries that honor Jesus Christ. If LWF has benefitted you in any way, just a few dollars a month can be a big blessing to someone else.”

LWF’s online giving page suggests gifts of $50, $75, $100, and $200, but Brandi says “even a gift of $10 a month can make a big difference.” That $10 gift, combined with similar gifts from other believers, brings consistency to ministry budgeting and planning and, most importantly, says Brandi, “changes lives.”
