First John 1: 9: "If we CONFESS our sins, He is faithful and just to FORGIVE our sins, and TO CLEANSE us from all unrighteousness."
A young pastor was called from a sinful life to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. One day in the pulpit he received a note where all his past sins were written. And he also said: "Are not you ashamed to be in the pulpit before these people telling them to put themselves at peace with God?"
Do you know what the young preacher did? He read the note, bowed his face in prayer, stood up and explained: "Ladies and gentlemen. I have received a note and this is what it says. " In front of the congregation he read each one of those sins. And then he added: "Yes, I am ashamed of myself. But I DO NOT AVERGUE from my SAVIOR. "
POINT OF ACTION:
What are some SINS of your past that prevent you from proclaiming to others in full the POWER of God? CONFIRM them and EMPTY them in the sea of God's FORGETFULNESS.
