- Principle of enlightenment – the Holy Spirit will enlighten your mind
- Principle of enjoyment – you will enjoy your spiritual gift
- Principle of encouragement – others will encourage you in your gift
- Principle of enablement – God will enable you in your gift (1 Timothy 1:12)
- SHARED PARTICIPATION (Romans 12:4-5)
- We have different gifts; but as Christians, we’re part of the same body
- SPECIFIC ACTIVATION (Romans 12:6-8)
- You will discover your gift as you get busy
- Spiritual gifts
- Prophecy – declaring truth; moving people to action
- Ministry – service; meeting spiritual needs in a practical way
- Teaching – to clarify truth
- Exhortation – the desire to stimulate others to love Jesus better
- Giving – the motivation to entrust personal assets to others that the work of God may be carried on
- Ruling – to coordinate and help others to see a big vision and to move them toward that vision for the glory of God
- Mercy – to comfort those who are in distress
- SETTLED CONFIRMATION (Romans 12:2)
- Once you have confirmation regarding your spiritual gift
- You accept yourself
- You begin to be yourself
- You begin to give yourself
