If God is sovereign, why should I vote?

You should vote because Jesus commanded you to vote! In Matthew 22:21, the Lord said, “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.” We tend to focus on the second half of that command. But Jesus said we are to “render to Caesar,” and I believe the failure to vote is a transgression of that command.

Part of our work is to be salt and light. Whether our candidate wins or loses, the election is not of primary importance. But, when we speak up out of conviction, God speaks for us. All active news articles
