A False Jesus

If someone comes to you and says that he believes in Jesus, you simply can’t accept on face value that he believes in the Jesus talked about in the Scriptures. Once you listen to him talk, you’ll be able to discover Who he believes in.
Second Corinthians 11:4 says, “For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!” Paul is telling the Corinthians that they are gullible and may accept whatever doctrine a false Jesus is peddling.
Friend, there are demons that bear the name of Jesus and we must be on our guard. We must also work to help our brothers know the True Jesus – the One and only One talked about in God’s Word.
Jesus exhorted us, “Search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.” (John 5:39). The Bible is our only authority on Jesus.
