Saved or Lost?
July 20 | Taken from this message by Adrian Rogers
Jesus said, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10).
To be saved is man’s greatest need. When I say that I know that truth falls flat because “saved” is an old-fashioned word. In some circles, it is out of date to be saved. (If you are a Christian, you have probably heard that before.) But, one of these days, to be saved is going to make a colossal difference.
When the Titanic set sail, there were some who had exclusive provisions and fine accommodations. Others had meager provisions and sparse accommodations in the steerage below. Still others worked as busboys, waiters, and maids. But when the Titanic sank, only two classifications were made: saved or lost.
There is coming a day when you are going to stand before God and what is going to matter more than anything else in the world is this: Are you saved or are you lost?
