Predestined For Hell? Absolutely Not!

  1. INTRODUCTION
    1. Our greatest mission is the salvation of souls.

        1. Paul’s evangelism:
          1. He had a sincere concern for souls.

  2. GOD IS THE GOD OF SOVEREIGN CHOICES – Romans 9:3-5
    1. The Jews are the chosen people of God.
    2. The special privileges of the Jews:
      1. They are called Israelites – special adoption.
      2. God spoke of Israel as a son.
      3. They had the Shekinah glory of God.
      4. They had the covenants.
      5. They were given the Old Testament law.
      6. They were given the service of God, the Levitical rituals.
      7. They were given the promises.
      8. They were given the Messiah.
    3. God’s choices regarding the children of Abraham:
      1. Not all the children of Abraham were chosen.
        1. Romans 9:7
        2. Romans 9:10-13
        3. “Jacob have I loved; Esau have I hated.”
          1. “Hate” had a different meaning in Biblical times than it does today.
          2. “Hate” refers to preferring one over another.
      2. God’s choice was national and not personal.
        1. Genesis 25:23
      3. God’s choice was based on service not salvation.
        1. Romans 9:12

      4. God’s choice was preference not despite.
  3. GOD’S SPOTLESS CHARACTER – Romans 9:14
    1. God is not fair; God is just.
